Suzanne Cohen

Potter / Glass Fuser

The pottery that I create is in stoneware and is either hand built or thrown, I enjoy making large bowls on the wheel. Colour is important to bring out the best in what ever is made. I have hand made a totem pole 1.40 mtr. Glass fusing comes from the desire to work with colour and this also me to experiment. I taught pottery and glass fusing to people with learning difficulties, since retiring I have carried on to develop my own work.

Mosaic

No two mosaics are the same and each piece of material is carefully cut to fit next to its neighbour. I use a mixture of materials, including, stone, vitreous glass, china, stained glass, beads and found objects. The challenge of creating something from nothing is exciting and mosaic is a medium of infinite possibility. I'm a member of the Farnborough Craft Guild
