Louisa Sullivan

Kiln Formed Glass Artist

My work is inspired by natural fields and meadows. Delicate flowers and feelings are created by hand printing and careful crafting, with larger pieces framed or mounted on an ash plinth. Many pieces contain copper wire phrases or silver handmade birds embedded into the glass. There's a wide variety of contemporary glassware on display from large platters to coasters. Something for everyone!

Becca Clegg BA (Hons)

Painter

My paintings, big or small, have a starting point which might be a photo of a dry stone wall, or a landscape or flowers I like. I apply acrylics to create texture, sometimes tramlines, adding paint, irridescents & inks over this. The way the paint & inks react on the canvas, or board, adapts my original idea suggesting the direction to take the painting further and I add deliberate marks until it reaches a balance which pleases me. Recent work is mainly based on "Fields of Flowers". I also work with felt and silk, producing pictures and scarves, and teach art. www.becart.co.uk for details

Fleur Andreas BA (Hons), MSDC

Woven Textile Designer

I am a handweaver and dyer using fine, natural yarns such as merino, silk and bamboo. My principle interest is to create individual, handcrafted textiles including scarves, wraps and wall hangings. My primary inspiration comes from nature with it’s subtelty of textures and colour, the richness of the sunset and the refraction of light on flowing water. I have also been a potter for many years, throwing mainly earthenware and porcelain pieces. I am a Member of The Society of Designer Craftsmen.

Julie Barham

Ceramicist

I am inspired by patterns which I observe in my immediate environment, particulary in plants, the coastal landscape, textiles (especially those of the 50s and 60s) and architecture. I love lush colours and decorate my work with coloured slips. I use a variety of making techniques and distinct clays, and make both tableware and ornamental pieces for the garden and home.

Naomi Beevers

Textile & Mixed Media Artist

I am a textile and mixed media artist. Inspired by the philosophy of celebrating the beauty of preloved items I incorporate them into quirky new objects of aesthetic value. My current body of work is influenced by the joy of the domestic and the innocence and humour of familiar birds. So a robin with sugar tong legs may be found perching on a vintage table fork in an old French cake tin filled with thyme. I am a member of the Society of Designer Craftsmen.
