Rosalind Moysen

Painter

Trained at Kingston School of Art and the Royal College of Art, her work - influenced by her interior design training, combined with a love of strong colour - has resulted in vibrantly coloured watercolours with wax, pastel, torn paper salt, PVA glue and gum arabic. Texture is the main focus of her more recent work - inspired by woods and ponds near her home - using oil and a palette knife to obtain a semi-abstract depiction of the layers and texture of woodland. Using a similar technique, her latest work uses torn fragments of textured, painted paper to portray woodland and landscape.

Jane Drown

Stained Glass / Ceramic Artist

I have been working in ceramics for 15 years and relatively recently became 'hooked' on glass. My stained glass doors and windows are made to commisssion and range from traditional Victorian and Art Deco designs to modern and abstract windows - in some cases for historic buildings. I work in both Surrey and East Devon, where the seascapes and natural environment provide my inspiration. I have worked in burnished earthenware ceramics and porcelain, offering very distinct ceramic styles. My work is on exhibition in a number of galleries and I regularly exhibit at Surrey and Devon Open Studios.

Beryl Hole

Ceramicist

The majority of my work is thrown, reduction fired stoneware. I am currently developing vase and bowl forms contrasting rough textures with smooth surfaces. I enjoy the process of firing, which is why I like working with open flame in both the gas reduction firing for my main work and experimenting with fuming and Raku firing. The main influences on my work are from the natural world – the textures of tree bark, the smooth surfaces of stones, the rythm of moving water and the stillness and tension of a seed pod. All these elements I try to bring together in my work.

Vicky Oldfield

Painter / Printmaker

Vickys strong images are created using collagraphs, an experimental form of printmaking. The prints are taken from plates which have been collaged with a variety of materials, sand, textured papers, string; it’s recycling at it’s most creative! The plates are then sealed and then inked up and printed in intaglio or relief on damp paper using an etching press. The embossed textural quality of the print is unique to this method. Continually inspired by plants, objects and the animals that surround her, her pictures are an atmospheric response to the beauty and drama of her daily life.

Janet Stanley

Sculptor

I work in clay using a mixture of modelling and found materials and textures. My inspiration comes from nature, the human form and Classical and Celtic art. Much of my work is designed to be seen in an outdoor setting,a continuation of the natural environment to be discovered within it. My completed work is usually cast in Bronze Resin. Commissions are welcome.

Jill Storey

Painter

Many of my paintings are of my local Twickenham area- its parks, buildings and riverside. I work mainly in pastel and water based paints and enjoy drawing and mixed media. After many years teaching in Adult education, I am concentrating on my own work, much of it inspired by location sketches of the Dorset landscape, bluebell woods and coastline, as well as the light and colour of new destinations abroad and a continuing fascination for the moods of the Thames. I am an exhibiting artist member of the Fountain Gallery, Hampton Court. www.jillstorey.co.uk

Malcolm West amns

Painter / Sculptor

I work in many different mediums. Flitting from sculpture to painting to drawing. Each of these can be sub-divided into different areas of interest. Sculpture - figurative, classical, dance, portraiture - in terracotta, bronze, bronze resin, stone. Paintings and drawings - figurative, dance, portrait landscape, murals - in oil, mosaic, pastel, pencil, ink. But in all I endeavour to produce a work of beauty, colour, elegance, movement, proportion and design. Come and see for yourself.
