Su Jameson

Ceramic Sculptor

My present work is to do with family; the various roles within it, the physical and emotional ties and layers and that tricky tightrope we walk between protection and liberation, of ourselves and others. Ideas evolve through ceramic figures using porcelain and black clays and alongside these I create vessels which further explore form, scale, surface textures and groupings. The drawings are preliminary explorations on this theme and directly inform the structures and surfaces I create in clay. In turn the 3D forms can then drive further drawing and mixed media works.

Melissa Hillman BA (Hons), PGCE

Painter

My work is based on the vastness of the landscape, the intimacy of interior spaces and quality of light. I enjoy finding balance within composition, division of the canvas, and simplification of shape and form; often focussing on an object or form that interests me or holds personal importance. An atmosphere or mood that can be created using colour and light, forms a major part of my work. Different levels of colour saturation, complimentary colours and coloured grounds, traditional painting methods and the physical element of painting and surface, drive me to always want to paint.

Gabriel Monks

Photographer

I have had a love for photography since a very young age, I am 19 and studying Product Design at Bournemouth University. Alongside my studies I spend a lot of my time on the Cornish Coast surfing and taking pictures. You can see these on Gabriel Monks Photography Instagram. I also do winter shoots in the French Alps and I have traveled to Africa to take images of Kenyan Wildlife for a charity event in London for ‘Lewa Trust’ where my images were used for publicity material. I have also done shoots of Wildlife in captivity, to see the contrast between the two and the questions raised .
