Building relationships over time with the environment is at the core of my practice and the living flow of freshwater has been one of my main focuses in recent years. Water in its various forms from solid, to liquid to gas, coming up from the land or descending from the sky: clouds, ice, raindrops, rivers. The interrelationships, the life-giving properties, the memories of water all make up the ways of water. Water has been revered as sacred by our ancestors and still deserves our respect and protection today. Through spending time in nature, witnessing changes, recording these photographically and making subtle interventions I hope to draw attention to this precious and finite natural resource for the benefit of all.
