Ceramics
I make wheel thrown stoneware ceramics that are both functional and decorative - pieces designed to be lived with and touched, not just looked at. I am drawn to the unpredictability of the reduction firing and alternative approaches like raku and pit firing which allow natural material patterns to emerge, ensuring each surface carries its own unrepeatable history.
My experience with printing techniques shapes the way I build patterns on clay. Carving, stencils, masking and wax resist become tools for creating layered, tactile decoration. Through slips, oxides and glazes, I experiment with flowing textures and mineral colour —whites, greys, blues and ochre—so that the finished work feels both calm and richly complex.
