mixed media print textile  |  Visit Open Studio

Welcoming you to my studio and workspace in East Molesey near Hampton Court. Coming from a degree in sculpture and years of teaching the arts through A Level and BTec to degree level,  I am now prioritising my own explorations, working as a multi-disciplinary artist primarily with textiles, print and stitch. Employing the many process skills gained from years of encouraging others with their artistic journeys, I work in mixed media exploring, responding to and interpreting the things I notice and gather from my surroundings; wild plants, leaves, muted colour and texture. I love to walk, am a mad collector of  things, I am curious and I love to make.  Linen, cotton, wool and paper obtained from recycled manufacturing waste, often with its own previous story, is carefully selected and used as a base onto which I mono print, screen print and stitch, frequently including foraged plant material, porcelain impressed pieces, wood, and metal. Layering up and joining these materials gives my work an ephemeral quality. Alongside my mixed media pieces I am working on a series of artists books; layering, piercing, joining, stitching, binding with mark making, print and stitch. All works are available unframed - I can send to anywhere, UK addresses free - or in specially made box frames for collection. Please be in touch to arrange to view anything you see here. – I continue to run experimental printmaking workshops –
