Hi my name is Sheila Purvis, I am a ceramicist and my studio is in the craft town of Farnham. I have been involved in pottery for many years now and am a longstanding member with West Street Potters. My style is eclectic and is based on lots of different cultural inspiration gained from my holidays and workshop travels. I use mainly hand thrown techniques to create objects for use or decorative enjoyment. I enjoy making characterful rustic animal sculptures for the home and garden and I also have range of cookware to add some artisan unique pieces to everyday items. My ever popular garden lightrange has evolved over the years. Each one is individual and are either solar powered for outdoor use or battery operated for inside use. People often buy these as statement pieces or special gifts. This is my second open studio and I am really looking forward to exhibiting with Colette Moscati at her studio.
