My work is driven by a fascination with the endless possibilities of paper, the enchanting quality of light, the power of story-telling and the awe-inspiring beauty of the natural world. I bring these elements together by creating intricate, nature-inspired paper-cut lightboxes that arouse curiosity and evoke precious memories.
Each piece begins with a pencil sketch, followed by meticulous hand-cutting and layering of card. I then incorporate light to create a magical atmosphere between the layers, revealing hidden details that gradually unfold over time, drawing the viewer into the scene.
My passion for the natural world and animal conservation drives much of my work. Many of my pieces are created with the intention of raising awareness and supporting wildlife charities through both fundraising and advocacy.
