Deborah Kreczmer

Painter

Deborah’s inspiration to paint comes from her immediate surroundings or travels.  Her paintings are strongly influenced by colour and the use of mixed media , inks, pastels, acrylic.  Landscape , building, seascape, semi abstract or still life , with a contemporary twist.  She  is a contributing and successful member of Tadworth  Group, Surrey En Plein Air Painters and Guildford Art Society.   She has exhibited at Mall Galleries with The Society of Woman Artists, Patchings Gallery, and Appart.   The Artist and Leisure Painter magazines, Out and About Surrey and other editorials have also featured her work . More recently she discovered the joy of en plein air . Painting outdoors is a double edge sword , yet it is the challenge of en plein air which she finds irresistible. Being constricted to a small canvas requires decisions what to include or leave out, battling with the ever changing weather, working quickly to capture the essence of a scene, even selecting the composition can be daunting. Deborah believes it's so important to never stop learning and to push outside of one's comfort zone, the experience may feel somewhat nervy but the end result often brings a sense of achievement. En plein air and studio work provide the perfect juxtaposition to develop the art. Deborah can provide workshops and demos.
