Hi! I\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'m Gemma, clay enthusiast, founder, and chief maker at Gemma Wightman Ceramics. I spend my days elbow-deep in porcelain, crafting luxury tableware in my Surrey studio alongside my little tribe of animals: Sizzles the sausage dog, golden retriever Maggie, and mischievous tortoise Tommy. I love creating tactile, beautiful pieces that you’ll use and enjoy every day, bringing luxury handmade joy into your home. I set up my pottery studio in 2004, but my love for making started long before. I discovered clay at school and fell in love with it. My passion for clay grew at Art college where I honed my skills on the potter’s wheel. I’ve always been driven to create pieces that are both quirky and purposeful, beautifully unique, and wonderfully tactile. I work exclusively with porcelain, a luxurious white clay that’s durable and soft to the touch. My studio is in the garden of my home in a picturesque Surrey village, where I live with my daughters, Matilda and Lola, and our tribe of animals. Every piece is family-tested and bears the \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Matilda & Lola Approved\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" stamp. I adore making items that bring joy to your home whether it’s a favourite morning mug or a cake stand for celebrations. Each piece is made with love, destined to be cherished for generations to come.
