Georgie Rey

Georgie likes to paint outdoors in the fresh air! She hikes up on the South Downs and makes many studies in the same place in oil, pastel and gouache. After many months she makes larger abstract painting from them. She loves colour, composition, shapes and expressive brushstrokes. She likes to work onsite when the subconscious takes over. The aim of her work is express herself and develop her language of paint. Being outside, studying and connecting to the landscape she experiences pure pleasure which is why she does it.
