Jakki Tibbott

Painter/Printmaker

Working from her studio in Surrey and currently as Artist in Residence at Art Matters in Redhill, Jakki makes work using collage and acrylic paint and often combines both with other media such as ink, bleach and printmaking. She is drawn to the tension between edges, both in nature and urban environments. Jakki loves experimenting with surface texture; she uses multiple techniques and materials to build layers and create juxtapositions that explore those edges. She is inspired by coastlines, rural landscapes and forgotten corners of built up areas. Jakki has a BA Hons Degree in Fine Art, HND in Illustration and has exhibited in London and Surrey. She continues her life long practice by constantly observing, sketching and photographing nature and overlooked corners.
