Jane Bissix

I studied fine art as a mature student and graduated in 2015. I paint in oil and acrylic. I often add collage elements to my paintings and sometimes hand and machine stitching to add to the narrative. I grew up in Devon and enjoyed a childhood of wide open spaces. As a result I have developed a love of the countryside and a deep connection with the natural world. My paintings are always informed by nature be it the structure of plants and living things or birds in urban environments to highlight their loss of natural habitat. I always aim to bring colour and harmony to my art.
