Janet studied fine art at Sheffield College of Art and has taught in a range of educational settings. She works in clay casting her work into Bronze Resin or for smaller pieces works directly using aluminium wire and textural materials with a bronze finish.This gives the opportunity to develop textures and surfaces.
Her work is inspired by nature and human interaction with it.
