I have worked with textiles all my life in some form or another. Early years of sewing and knitting developed into a fascination for all manner of techniques working with fibres. Wool has so many uses its' many forms. I now weave and knit from wool and other fibres and also use wool and other materials to create felt. The inclusion of fabrics - mainly recycled silk or cotton - are used to make Nuno felt for garments and accessories. The options are unlimited. After studying though City and Guilds and working with various textile tutors I believe there is always something to learn. My main influences are colour and textures and these are incorporated into my work. I have participated in Surrey Open Studios for over 15 years, I love the ability to share my work with the public. I was shortlisted for Surrey Artist of The Year in 2018.
