E.A.S.E.L. in the artroom at Lockwood Studios
Jeysie is a printmaker and mixed media textile artist based in Guildford, Surrey with a particular passion for handstitch, jewellery making and working with felt. Pieces are often playful and quirky.
Jeysie also tutors and technicians alongside Jule Mallett. Together they are Easel and provide creative art sessions for all abilities and ages.
Easel are based in the artroom at Lockwood Studios. (GU1 1RR). Workshops are low tech and delivered in such a way that attendees can continue to explore at home without the need of expensive equipment.
Workshops include Silkscreen print making with paper stencils; Monoprinting with a silkscreen; Drawing with Ink and Bleach; Ink, Bleach and Stitch on paper; Rust dyeing; Dyeing fabric with procion dye; Simple Shibori; Sewing with hand painted fabric; Collage with handprinted papers.
