Jillie makes her beautiful pictures in a tiny studio set at the bottom of her garden in the picturesque village of Shere. She produces a wide range of images varying in subject matter from wild flowers through still lifes landscapes and nudes. She loves working with a palette knife and thick modelling paste and her own photographs are often the starting point for her pictures. Her first wild flower painting was sold to the Italian fashion house Max Mara and formed the basis of a series of silk prints and designs for their Weekend Autumn and Winter collection 2018/19. Favourite contemporary artists who inspire her are Kurt Jackson, Ben McCloud and Jennifer Packer.
