Juan Manrique

I have been passionate about art since my childhood. I was introduced to oil painting by my grandmother when I was 12 years old. Since then I have used multiple mediums from basic charcoal to watercolours, oils and acrylics. I had my first exhibitions when I was 16. Even thought I chose to study Engineering and pursued a career as a technology entrepreneur, art has been part of all my life. Over the last 35 years, I have taken several art courses and created several pieces during this time. My passion is painting portraits, using strong colours, and using strong expressionism as a means of transmitting the personality of the sitter. Lately have been interested in urban photography
