Paper artist

I create illustrations with a scalpel. Papercut images hide a secret world. They tell one story in their flat state and a completely different one when light paints through them a world of distorted shadows. That's why what I do I call 'shadowmaking'. While there is one original papercut, framed and casting ever changing shadows, I don’t stop there. On my iPad I transform it to images enhanced with colours and textures which are then printed using archival quality inks and paper by a professional studio as Giclée prints. However, I enjoy other media, too. I love printmaking and have created a successful range of hand-built and illustrated plant pots which are available on my Etsy https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Shadowmaking
