Originally from a small village in Devon, much of my inspiration is drawn from the coastline and country side. I have always been fascinated by the fine details of nature and how certain plants and wildlife thrive in different microclimates. I love experiencing the effects of the elements on the environment and being part of the ever-changing surroundings through the seasons. After completing a fine art degree specialising in sculpture I worked for an expanding chain of art shops. Since having children I have given up my career in retail and re-trained as a framer. I now run a small framing business from home and continue to paint in watercolours and oils as well as spending hours completing small, organic hand embroideries.
