Since childhood I have loved to draw and paint animals which has developed over the years into a passion for nature and wildlife. I am inspired by the beauty and vulnerability of wildlife, particularly species under threat of extinction. I am proud to support various wildlife charities and have donated paintings to help raise funds. I mainly use acrylics on canvas but also like the energy and fluidity of mark making with pens/inks, and the softness of pastels. Using my experience of observing animals in the wild, many of my own photographs and further research, I aim to show the character and inner soul of individual creatures. The most rewarding aspect of my painting is when people feel a connection with a particular picture and are drawn in to the visual emotional representation of the animal. Winner of the Paintings 89 Animal Award at The Mall Galleries. I regularly exhibit with The Surrey Contemporaries Group, and at AppArt and was part of the SAOS 2020 and 2021.
