I started making jewellery as a hobby only in my 50's, while I was still working full time as a bursar and raising two sons. I then started attending basic evening classes at the Clifton Centre in Twickenham and have never looked back. When I retired over 5 years ago, I decided to go back to school and take my jewellery skills to another level. studying at Morley College London and gaining my level 2 certificate in 2019. I won a prize for one of my during the course. I have a small workshop at home where I make pieces that I enjoy and also sell in the local area. I make all types of jewellery and mostly work in sterling silver. My forms are traditional in application items from rings to bangles earrings, necklaces and brooches. I also like combining beads and pearls into my work. I enjoy working in a geometric style and various fold forming and casting techniques. I still attend Morley college when possible and also the workshop at Surrey Adult Learning in Guildford.
