Guildford-based artist working primarily in acrylics and inks. While I’m often inspired by the shifting beauty of the Surrey Hills — especially walks through the Chantries with my dog — it’s people who inspire me most. Movement, conversation, and connection bring my work to life just as much as nature does.
My background in the fashion and beauty industry, specialising in perfumery and communication, deepened my appreciation of how powerfully the five senses shape our experience of the world. Now, instead of capturing an essence in a bottle, I aim to capture the feeling of a moment in paint. My abstract and semi-abstract pieces reimagine familiar forms — such as tree trunks and natural textures — through unexpected colours, contrasts, and layered surfaces.
For years, perfectionism kept me from painting. Then an art teacher gently encouraged me to return to it, and that invitation changed everything. I moved away from a purely literal approach and rediscovered art as an emotional outlet. By pushing back against perfection, I hope to make space for honest expression.
I love letter writing and calligraphy, and sometimes weave words into my pieces, because dialogue matters. A painting isn’t finished when I put down the palette knife — it comes alive through the thoughts, feelings, and interpretations we bring to it.
You’re warmly invited to experience my creations with more than your eyes. Engage your senses, notice what stirs, and let’s start a conversation.
