Glass Artist and Educator

Living in different countries has shaped the way I see the world. A deep love of discovering cultures, traditions, and landscapes sits at the heart of my creative practice. I draw inspiration from travel, from observation, and from the people I meet along the way. Glass is my chosen medium, and I approach it without fear, embracing experimentation and discovery. My relationship with glass has unfolded over 25 years. It began with traditional leading and painting using enamels and silver stains, before expanding into copper foiling and lamp making through the Tiffany technique, and later into fusing. Each process has added a new layer to my practice. My work continues to evolve through an unorthodox combination of techniques. This constant exploration fuels my curiosity and allows me to create one-off pieces with character and individuality. It also sustains my passion for teaching, which was my original formal training many years ago. I recently opened a teaching studio at Lockwood Studios in Guildford. Here, I run small-group workshops, including introductions to stained glass, garden art, and bespoke projects. I also host regular sessions for hobbyists, where we freely explore multiple techniques whilst fostering an open, creative, and friendly environment. Alongside my studio and teaching practice, I work on commissioned domestic installations.
