Philip Ryland

Philip is a fine artist based in Farnham. His work has always relied heavily on the use of photography to inform his compositions and yet he works, in acrylics, quickly and intuitively, occasionally pushing his work to complete abstraction. His latest works focus on many trips to botanical gardens and in particular, the glasshouses, where he looks at the relationship between the architecture and the plants. He has gallery representation in London and has sold his work to private collections both nationally and internationally through art fairs and online and often works to commission for corporate and private clients. He is currently the Head of Art in a local school and in 2021 he was the lead Artist for the Big Draw. His studio is open by appointment throughout the year.
