Dobby and Rose – Rebecca Harvey-Browne

Meet Rebecca Owner, Creative Designer and Maker Owner, Rebecca Harvey-Browne, graduated from UCA Farnham in Surrey with a First Class Honours degree in Woven Textiles - the beginning of her journey which led her to pursue a career in weaving. Rebecca was selected as 1 of 24 graduates across the U.K. for Texprint, allowing her to promote her work in Paris. After selling designs to Italian Fashion House 'Etro', she was inspired to pursue a career in Textiles. She has since worked in the Textile Design industry working at the prestigious Colefax & Fowler starting in Quality Control and progressing to Samples Manager and Operations Manager. Throughout her time spent in the commercial industry, Rebecca continued to create her own designs and products. Her style is unique and combines the traditional craft with a modern twist, perfectly suited to a range of interior designs. But, creating homewares and running a family wasn't enough! She quickly realised that her customers didn't only want to purchase products, they wanted to be more involved. Rebecca opened up her home studio (aka Rose Studio), to allow others to experience this craft first-hand and to make their very own piece of fabric through a series of Weaving Workshops.
