Ruth has worked in Surrey for 30 years as a Wood Sculptor, Mixed Media Artist and a successful Community Arts Facilitator. She specialises in Wood Carving and Pyrography. Ruth is an experienced art teacher in varied art forms and delivers Wood Art and Craft Workshops in Earth studio based at Lockwood Studios in Surrey for both adults and Children as well as in Birtley Woods. She often works to commission and also exhibits and shows her work at Art and Craft Fairs across the UK. Ruth will be exhibiting a series of new burnt wood Art, paintings , woodcarvings and ceramics,
Ruth is inspired by the local Surrey Landscape, particularly birch Trees, ferns, woodlands, plants and florals fauna, she has started a series drawing inspiration from her Celtic roots and draw for the sea and coastlines. Ruth organises a combination of Creative and Yoga Retreats and Workshops in the UK and Internationally and bespoke experiences combining Holistic Wellness and the Creative Arts.
