Ruth Wheeler

Ruth has worked in Surrey for 26 years as a Wood Sculptor, Mixed Media Artist and successful Community Arts Facilitator. She specialises in Wood Carving and Pyrography. Ruth is an experienced art facilitator in varied art forms and delivers Wood Art and Craft Workshops at different venues and arts centres in Surrey for both adults and Children as well as in Birtley Woods. She often works to commission and also exhibits and shows her work at Art and Craft Fairs across the UK. Ruth will be exhibiting a series of new outdoor sculptures, 2d Wood and Painted Wall Art and Ceramics, she will also be showing  her Creative Wellbeing range. Ruth is inspired by The local Surrey Landscape, particularly Birch Trees, Ferns Woodlands and Landscapes as well as taking inspiration from Indian, African and Maori Cultures. Ruth organises a combination of Creative and Yoga Retreats and Workshops in the UK and Internationally and bespoke experiences combining Holistic Wellness and the Creative Arts. Ruth will also be organising the opportunity to experience Yoga,Mindfulness and Somatic Movement in the woods as well as creative mindfulness workshops with guest facilitators.
