Sarah van den Broek

I love to paint flowers, landscapes and seascapes particularly in the winter, to remind myself of summer days. I use acrylic paint and ink, layering for texture and depth. I paint on canvas and aim for vivid colour. Listening to music and looking out at the skies and the trees is enough inspiration. I am a messy painter and take paint on and off, using quite a lot of water, so my studio floor is a painting in itself. I work with various sizes of canvas and go big and bold in my use of colour.
