Suzy Abrahams

My work is strongly influenced by the key elements of artistic composition: Colour, shape, line, form, space & texture. The resulting paintings are bold, colourful, geometric abstract compositions often involving repeat shapes, including circles, lines, squares and triangles. I have been exploring a combination of these elements in my acrylic paintings on canvas and on works on paper and my recent 'stripe' paintings are inspired by the changing seasons. My art education included an art Foundation Course at University of Sussex, Brighton followed by graphic design at Goldsmiths’ College, University of London. I also have a postgraduate qualification in Computer Art & Animation from Epsom College of Art, Surrey. I have worked as a graphic designer in point of sale, publishing and advertising. My selected exhibitions include: Crypt Gallery, St Martin-in-the Fields, London. Menier Gallery, London. Battersea Contemporary Art Fair, London. Denbies Wine Estate, Surrey, Surrey Contemporary Art Fair, The Lightbox, Woking.
