After graduation from Central School of Art and Design (now Central St Martins), having studied printed textile design, l then went to Sudan and taught at Khartoum School of Art. I also established a screen printing workshop for textiles in Khartoum. On returning to England in1967 l worked as a free- lance designer for many fashion houses and furnishing fabric companies. Since my first exhibition at the British Council Khartoum in1967 l have exhibited in many galleries, and had work on many cat walks in London, Paris and New York and magazines. My fascination with colour, pattern and relationships of objects has featured in my still life paintings, many include ceramics by contemporary studio potters from my collection. After many years teaching at Adult Education l now take a monthly workshop and help at the art group at Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. I regularly exhibit at New Ashgate Gallery Farnham, and am an exhibiting member of Farnham Art Society and Guildford Arts.
