Predominantly a landscape painter, Yeside Linney, a Nigerian-born Surrey artist enjoys subjects which take her breath away. She draws much of her inspiration from her natural environment, literature and her travels. A self-taught artist, Yeside enjoys challenging herself to explore the abstract and the familiar. Through acrylic paint and mixed media, her passion for life is conveyed through layers applications of texture, playing on notions of the visible and invisible. Her only claim to fame is appearing as a sitter for one of the finalists in the December 2020 Sky Portrait Artist of the Year. The commissioned portrait will be on display as part of the SOAS. The submission which earned her a place as Reserve artist for Landscape Artist of the Year 2021 will also be on display.
