Mosaic in Nature: Shimmer and Slate #2

Join award winning artist Denise Jaques for a day at Birtley Woodland Art Space creating a mosaic inspired by nature.
You will have the opportunity to create a piece of textured mosaic art suitable for the home or garden.
Learn to cut and shape a range of materials including traditional mosaic tesserae, glass, slate and found materials.
Create a design that is informed by natural forms, whilst developing an experimental approach to exploring materials.

All tools, materials and equipment will be provided. You are welcome to bring any special pieces to incorporate into your mosaic, such as stone, shells, glass etc.
This workshop will take place in the woods at Birtley House. Please bring suitable clothing and refreshments.
