An all-day Saturday workshop with lunch included.
Small group size allows 1-2-1 expert tuition with artist and illustrator, Cathy Brett.
An introduction to relief and intaglio print-making for absolute beginners or improvers wanting to build skills. Drypoint etching with acrylic plates and a flatbed press. Lino printing with ‘Easy Cut’ Lino and traditional gouge tools. Hand-carve a rubber stamp ‘portrait’ (suitable photos must be sent to the Studio in advance). Explore a range of professional quality inks (AKUA), hand made papers (Somerset) and tools. The afternoon session brings all the learned techniques together to print your own Christmas/greetings cards (x6).
A delicious hot and cold buffet lunch (dietary options) with wine is included, plus refreshments throughout the day.
