Terry studied pottery at Putney Art School, and for many years worked and taught pottery. Since retirement he has established a home studio.
Currently, he is working on what he calls "light pods": thrown oval pots mounted on a stand and containing a complex multi-L.E.D. bulb. He then integrates various shaped apertures (using piercing, tubes, or funnel-like shapes) so that varied light patterns are thrown onto adjacent surfaces. Although Terry is showing examples of earlier recent work, including characteristic ones on tree and bird themes, light pods are the main focus of the current display.
