Suzanne Winn

Painter

My current work is particularly focused on landscapes immediately local to my home in rural Hampshire. The changing moods of a landscape, and the feelings that they evoke are key themes in my painting. I paint in oils en plein air, and also in the studio, where I work from drawings made out in the landscape predominantly using charcoal and pastels. I am also currently creating work inspired by the vast, rugged landscape of Pembrokeshire and I have a collection of seascapes derived from experiences of Wittering and Climping beaches and from trips to Cornwall and the Atlantic Coast of Spain.

Catherine Warren

Painter

Taking inspiration from landscapes and nature -from close to my home in Farnham to the Devon and Cornwall coast and beyond - I enjoy trying to capture something of the atmosphere and moment, in mainly abstract form. I am particularly drawn to colour, light and design and try to produce paintings with energy, freedom and movement through thoughtful and confident gestural mark making. I work mainly in acrylics, incorporating mixed media such as chalk pastels, collage and charcoal. I was delighted to win the Surrey Artist of the Year 2018.

Abigail Wicking

Painter and Portrait Artist

I am a self taught portrait and wildlife artist, working mainly in coloured pencil, Acrylics and Oil paints. I am passionate about conservation and hope to capture my passion in my work in a hope to inspire others. I choose subjects from the natural world, be they animals or habitat. I love the expression you can capture on their faces or the way the light gets caught in water when it moves and produces such unique shapes and amazing colours. My portraits are done using coloured pencils from reference photos.

Lindsay Sword

Painter

I originally worked almost exclusively in watercolours but during a recent year on the South Island of New Zealand I was overwhelmed by the beauty of the countryside and the vivid colours of sea and sky. I began working in acrylics which seemed to capture the vibrancy of the landscapes. Back in England and spending time in Hampshire and Cornwall my main focus continues to be on working in acrylics but I am once again enjoying the subtle tonal qualities of watercolours in depicting quieter and more familiar scenes.
