Janine Rees

Textile Artist

Janine's main influences are colour and texture. She particularly loves working with wool fibres of all types to create felt items using varying techniques which include traditional wet felting, nuno felt and also knitted felt. Silk, cotton and other fibres and recycled fabrics are incorporated with wool to create a variety of wearable accessories and textile art objects. Janine will also have some of her woven pieces on display, her dyed fabrics and beaded felt jewellery

Jane Browne BA

Tapestry Weaver and watercolour

Jane works in two mediums: landscape tapestry weaving and watercolour painting. The combination of natural gradations and the effect of agriculture within the landscape provide sources of inspiration for weaving. Different yarns, colours and textures are used to create seasonal scenes. Jane also produces drawings of flowers and hedgerow “finds”, combining close-up ink studies with loose watercolour washes.
