Jane McKeown

Textile Artist

In the main, my work is done by hand, I delight in the feel of the cloth and the thread as they are joined together by the stitching. I sew slowly, with thought and care and will often stitch and unpick, perhaps several times, until it looks right. The cloth I use is a mixture of hand dyed, recycled and new, but always natural rather than man- made fabric.

Megan Aslett

Sculptor

My long standing interest in Marine Life influences my work. I am currently developing a series, combining my passion for Ocean Conservation with my love for sculpting, which reflects the demise of the coral reefs. My sculpted forms are hand built using finely detailed ceramic elements to create my installations.

The Portable Pottery Company BA hons

Ceramicist

My pottery is made in small batches on the potters wheel. I love the meditative aspect of throwing on the potters’ wheel and enjoy this solitary work, but I also relish sharing my skills with others through my teaching. I make pots to be used and appreciated everyday.
