Kirsty McNay

Paper collage, photography

I create collages using torn and cut paper. The images on the papers are my own photographs. I take photographs of close-up details of natural things such as wood or stone. I try to capture their amazing textures and patterns, sometimes edit them on my computer and then use them to create landscapes. I love the effect of transforming an image of a piece of tree bark into a rainy Spring time sky! I am inspired by English landscapes, weather and wildlife and usually find myself working on something seasonal.

Gill Denyer

Textile & Mixed Media Artist

I work mainly with textiles, and recently I have been using metallic fabrics in my stitched pictures. I don't have any particular product that I always make, but I continually change both the techniques that I use and the finished articles. This means that the majority of my work is one-of-a-kind. I try and use recycled materials wherever possible as I hate throwing anything away and have recently created a series of small trees using all my haberdashery bits and pieces. I have also become addicted to dying - eco, rust, Shibori, indigo - you name it , I've tried it!
