Julia Tester Bju Ed. BA

Painter / Printmaker

Julia began to study art when she retired from full time teaching. She worked with William Lazard and Roger Adams, then had a great foundation year at East Surrey College and went on to gain an honours degree at London Metropolitan University. Her specialism there was etching and printing, and she has a press in her current studio to continue that practice. She also works at drawing with pastels, acrylics, and pen and ink. She likes to think of her subjects as a rich mix representing her interests. Recently she has concentrated on landscapes.

Tony Tester

Sculptor

Born in London, Began sculpting eleven years ago when well into retirement. Starting with clay and plaster over metal armatures, and some moulding, he assembled a small congregation of dancers and others on shelves. Visitors sometimes complain they invade their dreams. He moved to working in Indian soapstone and now limestone. His favoured subject is the human body.
