Terry O'Brien

Potter

Terry studied pottery at Putney School of Art, and since retirement has established a home studio. Using earthenware, (throwing and hand-building with some lustre glazes), he is currently working on what he calls "light pods": thrown oval or orb-shaped pots containing a complex multi-LED bulb. He integrates various shaped apertures (using piercing, tubes or funnel shapes) so that varied light patterns are thrown onto adjacent surfaces. He is also showing his signature pierced “tree pots” and some decorated domestic ware.
