Annabel Roberts

Ceramicist

I make mugs and functional ceramics using a warm stoneware body and a blue/white colour palette. I also make vases and larger vessels, building up surface colour and texture with layers of oxides, slips and glazes and using mulitiple firings.

Annie Hardy

Ceramicist

Working with my chosen material, clay, I am interested in finding the poetic and esoteric qualities that are evident in daily life but often overlooked. The way in which people elevate the everyday through body adornment, ceremony and ritual, often appropriating animal characteristics as a form of expression, is an area of interest and one that often informs my work. I strive to keep an open dialogue between my work in two- and three- dimension and hope that by engaging the conscious and unconscious into my working practice I will encourage accident and chance to play their part.

Adele Goulty BA

Ceramicist

I generally make non functional vessel forms and occasionally some stoneware fired tableware. My process of making is predominantly coiling and slabbing ,the surfaces of which are usually burnished followed by a low bisc firing . The forms are then saggar fired in a gas kiln using a mixture of sulphates and other organic matter. My greatest source of inspiration is the beach ,there are thousands of design ideas for vessel forms and sculpture lying on a beach. No suprise that my favourite pastime is beachcombing .
