I paint from my studio at Applegarth Farm in Hampshire and I love chatting with visitors who drop by. I am lucky to live and work in the beautiful Surrey & Hampshire countryside, and I am greatly inspired by the surrounding woods and landscape. I also enjoy painting and sketching along the wild and rugged coast of Cornwall and Devon and creating my large gestural seascapes. I have travelled the traditional route of art school, exhibiting with prestigious galleries and over the years becoming a respected and established artist. Having my own gallery at Applegarth Farm, alongside my working studio, allows me to meet some of the people who fall in love with my paintings, discuss ideas and inspiration and help them to find the perfect painting for their home.

Visitors to my studio can experience the paintings in progress; Layers of brush marks, wax, pastel or marble dust, the pairing of a dusty charcoal line against a glossy daub of paint, or perhaps a pop of fluorescent colour. Browsing the two gallery rooms you can enjoy a changing collection of expressive sea and landscape paintings, alongside gutsy abstracts and a range of limited-edition prints. There are smaller paintings on paper, my life drawings and a selection of greetings cards. The gallery also showcases a curated selection of hand-thrown ceramics by respected artists. There is a lot to tempt and inspire! The studio is situated within Applegarth Farm, a successful family-run business encompassing a restaurant and deli, with locally sourced and home-grown food. There is free parking on site, plenty of surrounding National Trust woodlands and independent shops in the village for exploring. I’m open from 10 am during Summer Open Studios.
