Ece Clarke at The Studio, Broome Hall

Over the last 40 years, I have explored the ways in which materials work together to express ideas and emotions in their own language. This has enabled me to create a broad range of work with elements involving painting, etching and sculpture. Sometimes these work together, creating three dimensional objects, disassociating themselves from representational artwork. Metal, paper, canvas, oil, acrylics, mesh work in contrast and combinations in my work – so it doesn’t fall easily into standard categories.
