Faye Mayo . Kate Norman

Faye’s vessels and figurative work present a sense of delicacy. Marks of the making process remain visible on the exterior where fine imprints of nature contrast with harsh marks – all referring to life’s experiences. The use of feathers and leaves also express vulnerability. However, Faye’s intention is to draw the gaze of the viewer to the interior where blue hues hint at the possibility of inner renewal.

Since graduating from Goldsmiths’, Faye creates for galleries in Devon, Gloucestshire and Wiltshire from her Surrey studio.

Kate enjoys playing with colour, shape, texture and form in her paintings. She regularly experiments with different styles and mediums , often drawn to images that include water, particularly the sea.
