Jill Iliffe

This is a working studio and I will be painting or drawing during the studio opening times, plus there will be displayed items for sale including paintings in oil, watercolour and egg tempera, as well as drawings in pencil or ink.  There will also be some of my individually designed and made glass items.  I can discuss any proposed commissions, if that is of interest.  The studio will be open at weekends between 10.30-5.

I am inspired by the idea of art being accessible and connecting with other people, which means that my subject matter can be wide, as we are all interested in so many things aren’t we? From nature to interiors to still life to people, my work takes time and quiet and I think that this shows in the finished pieces. I work in oils mainly, but also in pencil, egg tempera and watercolour.  I have exhibited widely in both commercial and public galleries, including the V&A, museums in Manchester and Rugby, and in many venues with the Society of Graphic Fine Arts and the Royal Society of Portrait Painters.  I took part in 2020 in Sky Portrait Artist of the Year. I studied at the University of the Arts London, achieving an MA in 2009. If you would like to see more of my work please do come along.
