Louise Rowe

Louise uses a range of approaches to image making, taking the relationship between sea and landscape as her starting point. She uses free style paint marks to create images with cracked and broken forms. Her understanding of texture and colour produces strong colour drenched paintings that link to nature. She often uses gold leaf as a background to her pen and ink drawings which add luxury and decadence to her work. Louise, has become known for her thumb print paintings that link with each other to form one larger picture. More recently, her paintings have been featured in exhibitions at the Mall galleries.
