Parkgate Pottery
I’ve been a potter and artist for many years with a fine art degree from Reading University. I work in a buff stoneware clay and my favoured way of creating is to throw pots on the wheel, making functional yet beautiful items for everyday use from mugs, bowls and plates to fondue sets and gin cups. My inspiration often comes from the plants and trees that surround the garden studio and experimenting with different glaze combinations, painting on a wax resist then layering up the glazes. I’ll be happy to demonstrate throwing on the wheel throughout the visits so please just ask!
