Inheriting my mother’s love of art, I have been painting for over 40 years and work from my small studio in Farnham, Surrey. The vibrant ever- changing colours of flowers, plants and trees throughout the seasons have always fascinated me. I find that watercolour is the perfect medium to capture their qualities. I think that the appeal of watercolour is timeless and I hope to capture both the calm and vitality I always feel when studying my subjects. I have a fascination for painting bricks and all the details within architecture, buildings and alleyways. The watercolours I produce of these subjects are highly detailed. I find the perspective of alleyways wonderful to paint and try to convey the feeling to the viewer of what lies beyond. I happily consider commissions and am fortunate to be in constant demand. Paintings now include animals, birds etc which I produce for commissions, prints,homewares. I gained my BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art Printmaking from The West Surrey College of Art and Design in 1981.I am delighted to be a Fellow of The Royal Society of Art I am a full member of The Society of Floral Painters,one of only a small number of women to be a full member of The Society of Architectural Illustration.
