Tatarek Pottery

Tatarek Pottery is all about colour and texture, I make hand thrown stoneware pottery carved with freehand designs. Pieces are glazed in translucent colours that pool in the carved texture to increase the depth of the designs. A life time of looking and admiring has led to a wealth of inspiration, with styles reaching across both time and distance. Reaching back through arts and crafts, the Renaissance, Jacobean art, all the way to medieval illumination. And across the world, into Europe, the middle east, Indian and on to the far east.
